Skyles, Clinton lead PSC over Butler, 69-45

BUTLER, Pa. — Brittany Skyles scored 22 points and Dezirea Clinton had 14 as Potomac State remained undefeated in the Western Pennsylvania Collegiate Conference by beating Butler, 69-45, in college women’s basketball Saturday night.

Skyles scored her 22 points on 10 field goals, with two being 3-pointers. She also had four steals.

Breanna Wright chipped in with nine points, Aisha Short had eight points and four steals and Tae Payton had five assists and three steals. Clinton and Erica Ford pulled in seven rebounds.

Ashley Campbell scored 19 points and Sarah Brane 14 for Butler.

Potomac State (10-7, 5-0 WPCC) play at Hagerstown on Monday.

ARNOLD — Janay Collins and Alice Abiya had double-doubles as Garrett fought off Anne Arundel for a double overtime Maryland JUCO Conference victory.

Collins led four Lakers in double figures in scoring with 15 points and also had 15 rebounds and three steals.

Abiya added 12 points and 12 rebounds, while Kwaiyera Davis had 14 points and Tanisha Williams 11 for Garrett. Tashara Van Alstyne had eight points and four assists.

Garrett led 28-18 at halftime, but Anne Arundel scored in the lane in the final seconds at the end of regulation to tie it 47-47 and force the first overtime.

Tied 54-54 after the first extra period, the Lakers grabbed the lead for good early in the second.

Jaclyn Muncie had a game-high 22 points for Anne Arundel.

Garrett (5-7) plays at Montgomery-Rockville on Monday.
