David W. O’Baker [Ridgeley]

February 17, 2010 — RIDGELEY, W.Va. — David W. O’Baker, 44, of Ridgeley, W.Va., died Monday, Feb. 22, 2010, at his residence.

Born April 24, 1965, in St. Mary’s County, he was the son of Helen L. “Nan” O’Baker, of Ridgeley, and the late Alfred David O’Baker.

David had been involved in the building trades, doing carpentry and stone masonry work. Locally, he had worked for Knotts Construction. In addition, he had done work for Apex Construction in Virgina, and for contractors in Deep Creek Lake.

David graduated from the American Diesel Institute, where he learned to be a diesel mechanic.

He belonged to the NRA.

In addition to his mother, David is survived by his two brothers, Marcus H. O’Baker, at home, and W. Scott O’Baker, of Olathe, Kan.; his two sisters, Tracy Liller, of Short Gap, and Rachael George, of Uniontown, Ohio; and his nieces and nephew.

Friends will be received at the Upchurch Funeral Home, P.A., 202 Greene St., Cumberland, on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m.

The funeral service will be conducted in the funeral home on Friday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Doug White officiating.

Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
