Shannon Broadwater, Michael Moyer wed
Shannon Renee Broadwater and Michael Aaron Moyer were united in marriage on Saturday, Oct. 8, 2011. The double ring ceremony took place at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lonaconing. Deacon Fred Passauer officiated. The bride’s parents were married in the same church Aug. 28, 1971, and the ceremony was the last one before the closure of the church.

Jessica Nicole Witt and Robert O’Dell Ackerman were united in marriage on Saturday, Sept. 10, 2011. Nestled in the hills of Western Maryland, the outdoor wedding took place at Bittersweet Acres in Finzel. The double ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. Bernadette Ross.

Friends of the couple, Matthew Ariail of Los Angeles and Alexis Horowitz-Burdick of Singapore, officiated at the double ring, outdoor ceremony, which was held in a grove of centuries-old sycamore trees.

The double ring ceremony took place at Christ United Methodist Church in Cumberland, with the Rev. Harold McClay officiating. The bride’s parents also were wed by Rev. McClay on June 26, 1976. Likewise, the groom’s parents were married at Christ United Methodist Church on April 8, 1977.
