CUMBERLAND — One year ago today, Dec. 18, 2010, a double ring ceremony was held for Krystal Poland and Jeremy Pollock at Central Assembly of God Church. Pastor Larry Green was the officiating clergyman.
The bride is the daughter of Kurt and Trudy Poland, Cumberland. The groom is the son of Robert and Vonnie Pollock, Ridgeley, W.Va.
The bride was given in marriage and escorted to the altar by her father. She was attired in a strapless fitted gown with beaded appliques and a sheer crystal beaded jacket. The bride also wore a clear crystal tiara and crystal chandelier earrings and matching necklace. She carried a cascading bouquet of white poinsettias and holly.
The groom wore a black tuxedo with a silver vest and matching tie.
Becky Baker, friend of the bride, served as maid of honor and Samantha Howser, friend of the bride, was the bridesmaid.
Serving as best man was Robbie Pollock, brother of the groom. Jacob Winterstine, cousin of the groom, was groomsman and Kurt Poland Jr., brother of the bride, served as usher. Junior ushers were Dalton and Colton Pollock, nephews of the groom.
Madison Poland, cousin of the bride, served as flower girl and Dalton Skidmore, friend of the bride’s family, served as ring bearer.
Becky Rust, friend of the bride, and Pastor Shannon and Tira Lambert were the vocalists during the ceremony. Debbie Green was the pianist.
A formal dinner reception catered by Shelby Gable immediately followed the ceremony in the Family Life Center at the church. Gable also provided a lovely three-tier cake with a fountain and three cakes surrounding each side. Photography was provided by John Bone.
A rehearsal dinner was provided by the groom’s parents at Puccini Restaurant. The bride also was the guest of honor at a shower hosted by her mother, the maid of honor and bridesmaid.
The couple resides in Short Gap, W.Va.

The outdoor, double ring ceremony was officiated by Shon Brodie, uncle of the groom. A retired sergeant major of the United States Marine Corps, Shon serves as a bishop in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Fredericksburg, Va.
