Broadwater, Livingston wedding

FROSTBURG — Joseph Daniel Broadwater and Jacquelyn Michelle Livingston were united in marriage on Oct. 17, 2009. The double ring ceremony took place at Welsh Memorial Baptist Church, with Assistant Pastor Jeremy Adams, Bible Baptist Church, Barton, officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Paula Marie (Skipper) Livingston and the late Joe Pennrod Livingston. She is the granddaughter of Ruth Livingston and the late William B. Livingston and the late Paul and Alice Marie Skipper.

The groom is the son of Russell Thompson Broadwater and Judy Elaine (Taylor) Broadwater. He is the grandson of the late Gorman and Maggie Broadwater and the late Russell and Wilmina Taylor.

The bride was given in marriage by her mother, Paula, who also escorted her down the aisle. The church pews were decorated with burgundy and white bows. Jacqie wore a beautiful white faille A-line gown designed with a sweetheart neckline, ruched bodice and side drape detail. The gown was from the David’s Bridal collection. The bride’s jewelry consisted of a pair of diamond studded earrings and a J-shape diamond accented necklace, which was given to her by her mother. She also wore a  silver-plated heart bracelet engraved with her newly married initials and the date of the wedding, which was given to her by her long-time best friend and maid of honor, Adrienne Flick. The bride wore a pearl and diamond accent trimmed veil underneath her hair, which was curled and swept off to the side with heart-shaped hair clips. She carried a bouquet of silk burgundy peonies and white gardenias with accents of pink roses and baby’s breath. The bouquets were created by the bride and her sister.

The groom was dressed in a black tuxedo with a white vest. The groomsmen were attired in black tuxedos with burgundy vests to match the color of the bride’s bouquet.

Adrienne Flick, long-time best friend of the bride, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Jennifer Livengood, sister of the bride, and best friend Jill Chambers. Lauren Kerr, friend and honorary little sister to the bride, served as the flower girl. Lauren was attired in a black and white dress.

John Broadwater, brother of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were longtime friends, Nathan Symons and Doug Clark.

Musical arrangements for the wedding ceremony were arranged by Vicki Warnick. Jennessa Hughes, friend of bride, provided wedding programs to the guests. Photographer was Stan Eisel of Frostburg.

A reception immediately followed at the Finzel Fire Hall, which was decorated romantically in the wedding colors of black, white and burgundy. A banner created by the bride’s aunt was hung above the bridal table and read “All because two people fell in love.” The centerpiece for the bridal party table was decorated with a heart-shaped votive candle holder on top of a square mirror surrounded by flower petals. Tables were decorated with black table covers, tea light candles and vases of flowers with small squared mirrors that caught the light of the candles.

An arch was placed at the entrance way to the reception and was decorated with flowers, lights and light tulle.

The newly-married couple danced to the song “Soulmate” by Josh Turner as their first dance. Music was arranged by DJ Eric Mellotte.

The cake had three different flavors of strawberry, chocolate and vanilla. The cake was decorated with black ribbons, and burgundy flowers to match the wedding colors. The cake knife and server were engraved with the couple’s wedding date and were a present from the groom’s mother and father.

The bride and groom spent their honeymoon on a cruise to the Bahamas, where they spent a week enjoying the clear water, sun and each other’s company.

The bride and groom reside in Barton with their 1-year-old son, Jacob, whom they were blessed with on Sept. 14, 2010, and their 5-year-old Yorkie, Trotts.

The bride is a 2004 graduate of Beall Junior Senior High School. Jacqie obtained her associate of applied science degree in administrative assistant from Allegany College of Maryland, Cumberland.

The groom is a 1998 graduate of Westmar High School. He obtained his master’s degree in business management from the University of North Alabama.
