Frost, Morris wedding

CUMBERLAND — On Oct. 22, 2011, Jessica Dawn Morris and Jay Dean Frost Jr. were united in marriage. The double ring ceremony took place at Memorial Heights Baptist Church, with Pastor Chan Hubbard officiating and giving the message.

The bride is the daughter of Carole and Adam McCoy, Flintstone, and Forest “Butch” and Jeannie Morris Ill, LaVale. Jessica is the granddaughter of Robert and Margaret McGraw Sr., Oldtown, and Norita Morris,  Cumberland, and the late Forest “Sonny” Morris Jr. and David and Linda McCoy, Centerville, Pa., and Ellen Whetstone, Frostburg.

The groom is the son of Sandra and Bill Bauer, Sulphur, La., and Jay and Nancy Frost Sr., Cumberland. Jay is the grandson of Dorothy and Rod Rodriguez, Sulphur, La., and William and Beverly Bass, Ragley, La., Albert and Elizabeth Burke, Midland and the late Cora Elizabeth (Aldridge) and Virgil John Frost Sr.

The bride was given in marriage by her parents and escorted to the altar by her father. Jessica wore a unique design by Mori Lee, made of ivory organza for a free flowing, fitted and elegant look. One side of the dress featured enhanced detail with silver thread and crystal beading accented with a feather flower at the hip line. The gown featured a unique feathered one-shoulder strap. The back of the gown was laced corset style and the beaded design started at the waist and flowed all the way down the swept train. Jessica’s bouquet consisted of orange calla lilies and ivory roses accented with wild fall flowers and peacock feathers. The bouquet base was wrapped with ivory ribbon accented with a peacock brooch made of Swarovski crystal, which was a gift from her aunt.

Tiffany Chambers of Cumberland served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Dr. Jamie Simpson of Pawley’s Island, S.C., Jenna Smith of Ridgeley, W.Va., Lisa Townsend of Keyser, W.Va., and Meagan Gratton of Martinsburg, W.Va. All are friends of the bride. The junior bridesmaid was Olivia McCoy, sister of the bride. The bridesmaids and junior bridesmaid wore strapless, floor-length jade gowns. They all carried bouquets of fall wild flowers and peacock feathers. Briley Frost, niece of the groom, served as flower girl and wore an ivory, floor-length gown accented with a beaded, jade sash. Briley carried a basket wrapped in burlap and accented in jade ribbon and peacock feathers and lined the aisle with ivory rose petals and fall leaves.

The groom wore a brown tuxedo with an ivory vest and matching tie. Chris Frost, brother of the groom, Ridgeley, served as best man. Groomsmen were Will Frost, brother of the groom, Sulphur; Bert Daley, friend of the groom, LaVale; Josh Mosier, friend of the groom, Ridgeley; Nick Morris, cousin of the bride, Erie, Pa.; and Nick Frost, brother of the groom, Cumberland. Ring bearers were Jace Frost, nephew of the groom, and Nathan Slider, cousin of the bride. The groomsmen wore brown tuxedos with jade vests and matching ties. The ring bearers wore brown tuxedos with ivory shirts and brown bow ties. The ring bearers carried heart-shaped pillows, handmade from burlap and accented with jade ribbon, fall wild flowers and peacock feathers.

All floral arrangements were designed and created by Vickie Cornwell, aunt of the bride. Photography was provided by Jamie Slider, cousin of the bride. Videography of the ceremony and reception was provided by Sights and Sounds Productions of Bunker Hill, W.Va.

A reception was held following the ceremony at the Flintstone Fire Hall. Music and master of ceremony was also provided by Sights and Sounds Productions.

A delicious, three-tier cake was decorated in fall flowers and each layer topped with a chocolate drizzle. The cake was a gift provided by Patti and Henry Munch of Hancock. Reception decor was created by Vickie Cornwell, along with the help of friends and family.

A bridal shower was given in honor of the bride by her mother and her bridesmaids.

A rehearsal dinner was held in honor of the bride and groom on the eve of their wedding.

The newlyweds honeymooned in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, at the Grand Palladium Bavaro Resort and Spa.

The couple reside at their home in Cumberland with their dog, Ruger, and cat, Catelin.

Jay and Jessica would like to thank their families for all of their support throughout the years. Especially their parents, we would not be who we are without each and every one of you. A special thank you to Vickie Cornwell for all of your hard work with the flowers and decorating. We love you all.

    Robert Jeffrey Bonser and Rebecca Kathleen Mathews were united in marriage Sept. 3, 2012 in an outdoor ceremony at the Hayloft in Rockwood. The groom’s father, Pastor Robert Bonser, presided over the double ring ceremony and delivered a message from Genesis 2:15-25 entitled “A Bond of Grace.”

The double ring ceremony took place at Centre Street United Methodist Church, which was the church of the bride’s childhood. The Rev. Ann W. Atkins, pastor of Centre Street United Methodist Church, performed the double ring ceremony. Heather Haines, church organist, provided music for the traditional Christian ceremony.
