CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Mary Rowland Daley and Adam Gerard Schmitt were united in marriage on June 28, 2008. The outdoor ceremony took place at Freedom Park in Charlotte and was followed by a cocktail reception at Roof with a View.
Mary is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jeffery Daley and Adam is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Richard Schmitt, all of Cumberland, Md.
The bride was escorted down the aisle by her father.
Attending the bride as maid of honor was Miss Sara-Beth James, friend of the bride. Serving as bridesmaids were Mrs. Nichol Brown, Mrs. Susan Wolfe, Mrs. Kim Soule and Mrs. Mia Cross, friends of the bride.
Attending the groom as best man was Dr. Rob Stansbury, followed by his groomsmen, Jeremy Smith, Mike Rice, Jeff Martin and Mark Cutter, all friends of the groom.
The bride was attired in a Nicole Miller designer dress.
The bridesmaids all wore Donna Ricco black strapless taffeta bubble dresses with turquoise jewelry and carried three long-stem calla lilies.
The double ring ceremony was performed by the groom’s uncle, Roger Moll Jr. Readings were done by Kacie Schmitt, sister of the groom, as well as Laurinda Thomas and Kelly Policicchio, friends of the bride. Following the ceremony, the wedding party recessed for pictures in the park with Tom Biery.
Music during the wedding was provided by Bobby and the Aristicats from Atlanta, Ga. Catering was provided by La Tea Da’s of Charlotte.
The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Dilworth Neighborhood Bar and Grill using a West Virginia University theme.
The bride is a 1996 graduate of Fort Hill High School and a 2000 graduate of West Virginia University. She is currently employed with SHI International, Inc.
The groom is a 1999 graduate of Allegany High School and 2004 graduate of West Virginia University. He is currently employed by The Shaw Group in Charlotte.
