Dunithan, Fox wedding

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. —Courtney Marie Fox and Eric Lawrence Dunithan were united in marriage Aug. 6, 2011, at Chestnut Ridge Church in Cheat Lake. The double ring ceremony was performed by Pastor Bill Walker.

The bride is the daughter of Dean and Michelle Fox of Keyser. She is the granddaughter of the late Clark “Hap” and Mary Price of Hyndman, Pa., and the late Elmer and Claudia Fox of Lovettsville, Va.

Eric is the son of Aletha Dunithan of Keyser and Charles Dunithan of Elk Garden. He is the grandson of the late Lawrence and Betty Dunithan of Elk Garden and the late Joseph and  Mary Paugh of Elk Garden.

The bride was escorted down the aisle by her father and given in marriage by her mother and father.

The bride chose an Alfred Angelo collection gown from the Princess line. The dress was a strapless satin white gown with crystal and pearl beading. The entire bodice and back of the gown were heavily beaded with tiny pearls and crystals that split in the front with underlying Madeira lace.  The A-line skirt flowed to a cathedral train with flowing Madeira lace pattern. The bride wore a finger-tip veil with a jeweled edging that matched her gown. The bride wore a drop diamond necklace of her grandmother’s.

Renee Kimble and Deanna Waites, friends of the bride, served as matrons of honor. Bridesmaids were Samantha Diehl and Devon Pearrell, friends of the bride. The bridesmaids wore berry-colored chiffon cocktail gowns of assorted styles from Alfred Angelo and jewelry given to them by the bride as gifts. Avery King, friend of the bride, served as flower girl and wore a white gown with a white flowered headband and carried a white basket with lime and burgundy rose petals.

Nicholas Hoover, friend of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Casey Dunithan and Chris Dunithan, brothers of the groom, and Robert Anthony, friend of the groom. Colin Fox, brother of the bride, and Christopher Bushey, friend of the bride served as ushers. The groom wore a black tuxedo with white accessories, while the groomsmen wore black tuxedos with Berry and Lime accessories. Tavian Waites, friend of the bride, served as ring bearer and carried a white ring pillow.

The flower arrangements for the bridal party were designed by family and friends of the bride and featured calla lilies in burgundy, star lilies in lime green, lime green and white mini roses, orchids and baby’s breath.

Erin Price, cousin of the bride, and Stephanie Dunithan, sister-in-law of the groom, greeted guests as they arrived for the wedding by handing out programs and bubbles.

A reception was held following the ceremony at the Knights of Columbus in Morgantown. Catering for the reception was provided by The Ritz Touch, Connellsville, Pa.  DJ Luke Hoover of Keyser provided music for dancing. Linda Ritz from the Ritz Touch prepared the three- tier wedding cake, which was accented with flowers that matched the bride’s bouquet and was adorned by a personalized heart-shaped cake topper. Photography for the entire wedding day was provided by Marlene Fitzgerald of Life Images Studio in Keyser.

The bride and groom provided the guests with awareness bracelets and a donation was made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society on behalf of their wedding guests in lieu of favors.

The bride and groom danced their first dance to “Collide” by Howie Day. The bride and her father danced to “Because You Loved Me” by Celine Dion and the groom and his mother danced to “Simple Man” by Lynard Skynard.

The bride was the guest of honor at a shower hosted by her bridesmaids and aunt in Keyser. The bride and groom were honored as guests at showers hosted by Kim Bushey, friend of the bride, in Smithsburg, Md., and co-workers in Morgantown.

The rehearsal dinner hosted by the groom’s parents was held at Damon’s Bar and Grille in Morgantown.

The couple enjoyed a honeymoon in Myrtle Beach, S.C. They currently reside in Morgantown.

Courtney is a 2005 graduate of Keyser High School, a 2008 graduate of West Virginia University, with a bachelor’s degree in social work, and a 2010 graduate of West Virginia University with a master’s degree in social work. She is currently employed by University Health Associates at WVU Healthcare Physician Office Center in Morgantown as a medical social worker.

Eric is a 2004 graduate of Keyser High School and a 2008 graduate of West Virginia University with a bachelor of science degree in nursing. He is currently employed by WVU Healthcare as a nurse in the orthopedic unit.

The bride and groom would like to thank all of their family and friends who helped make their wedding day special.

    Robert Jeffrey Bonser and Rebecca Kathleen Mathews were united in marriage Sept. 3, 2012 in an outdoor ceremony at the Hayloft in Rockwood. The groom’s father, Pastor Robert Bonser, presided over the double ring ceremony and delivered a message from Genesis 2:15-25 entitled “A Bond of Grace.”

Atkins, pastor of Centre Street United Methodist Church, performed the double ring ceremony. Heather Haines, church organist, provided music for the traditional Christian ceremony.
