FLINTSTONE — One year ago today, Sept. 18, 2010, at 3 p.m., Thomas Oliver Evans and Amanda Lynn Winters were united in marriage. The double ring, private ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Gene Michael Barrera at the Green Ridge State Park overlook.
The bride is the daughter of Marshall and Catherine Winters of Midland.
The groom is the son of Thomas and Ping Evans of Rawlings.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted to the overlook by her father, the bride wore an ivory strapless gown with all over beading, an empire waist and sweep train. She carried a bouquet of light green hydrangeas and ivory roses.
Caryn Sagal, sister of the bride, served as the matron of honor.
The groom wore a brown Calvin Klein suit, ivory shirt and a light green tie.
Matthew Evans, brother of the groom, served as the best man.
A reception followed at the Lakeview Pavilion at Rocky Gap State Park. A buffet-style dinner was prepared by Country Catering. The wedding cake consisted of cupcakes placed on cupcake tiers decorated by the bride’s mother.
Amanda and Tom danced their first dance as husband and wife to “I’ll Always Love You” by Taylor Dayne, followed by a father and daughter dance to “I Loved Her First” by Heartland and a mother and son dance to “The Man You’ve Become” by Molly Pasutti.
The flowers and centerpieces were specially made by the mother of the bride. Photography was provided by Krista Stoltzfus of Higher Focus Studios and the music was provided by Blair St. Amand.
Amanda is employed by First Peoples Community Federal Credit Union.
Thomas is co-owner of Custom Concepts, graphic design and sign business.

Abbey Alexandra Bond and Cpl. Braxten Ray Brodie were united in marriage on Saturday, Aug. 18, 2012, at Ridgeview Valley in McHenry. The outdoor, double ring ceremony was officiated by Shon Brodie, uncle of the groom. A retired sergeant major of the United States Marine Corps, Shon serves as a bishop in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Fredericksburg, Va.
