NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. — Tanya Lynn Ray and John Richard McGuire were united in marriage Saturday, July 25, 2009. The double ring ceremony took place in Niagara Falls and was officiated by Laura Lee Morgan.
The bride is the daughter of the late James and Norma Tweedy, Louisville, Ky. The groom is the son of the late Joseph James McGuire and Cecilia Jane Twist.
Mary Leighty, sister of the groom, and her son, James Thuss, daughter, Ashley, and James' girlfriend, Brittney Boston, all attended the wedding ceremony in Niagara Falls.
Tanya is currently working on obtaining her master’s degree in teaching. She has a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Potomac State College of West Virginia University, Keyser, W.Va. She is employed by the boards of education in both Allegany County in Maryland and Mineral County in West Virginia as a substitute teacher.
John is employed at Western Correctional Institution, Cresaptown, as a maintenance officer and he also has his own business, John McGuire Home Improvements.
The couple currently reside in Ridgeley, W.Va.
