Harbaugh, Frazee wedding

HAGERSTOWN — On March 17, 2012, Kari Rae Frazee and Brent Andrew Harbaugh were united in marriage. The double ring ceremony took place at Cortland Mansion, with the Rev. Charles Erzkus officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Rae Ann Smith, Cumberland, and Dave Frazee, Ridgeley, W.Va. Kari is the granddaughter of the late Cecil and Helena Brenneman and the late Ralph Frazee.

The groom is the son of Shawn and Glynna Harbaugh, Bloomington. Brent is the grandson of Betty and the late Thomas Harbaugh, Keyser, W.Va., and Kathryn and the late Glenn Harvey, Bloomington.

The bride was escorted down the aisle by her father. She wore an ivory strapless drop waist gown with corset closure and crystal and flower embellishments. The bride also wore a crystal headband. The bride’s jewelry consisted of a ruby necklace, a gift from the groom, and red Swarovski crystal drop earrings. She carried a bouquet of burgundy roses, hydrangeas and stargazer lilies with crystal accents. A pendant from a necklace belonging to the bride’s late grandmother was entwined in the stems of the bouquet.

The groom wore a black tuxedo with an ivory vest and matching tie.

Serving as maid of honor was Wendy Kroll, cousin of the bride. Bridesmaids were Samantha Little and Victoria Kerr, both friends of the bride. The bridesmaids wore floor-length strapless black dresses with ivory sashes and carried bouquets of burgundy roses, hydrangeas and stargazer lilies.

Serving as best man was Andrew Taylor, friend of the groom. Groomsmen were Luke Little and Aaron Sniderman, both friends of the groom. Ushers for the ceremony were Johnny Shockey and Josh Perloff, both friends of the groom. Groomsmen and ushers wore black tuxedos with black vest and burgundy and black striped ties.

The music for the ceremony was provided by Chris McCabe. The ceremony was conducted with the bride and groom standing in front of a beautifully lit fireplace. The couple recited their own vows. A wine box ceremony was also performed. Roses were presented to both the mother of the bride and the mother of the groom during the ceremony.

The mantel of the fireplace held pictures and bouquets of black magic roses  in memory of the bride’s and groom’s late grandparents.

A reception immediately followed the ceremony at Cortland Mansion. A buffet-style dinner was catered by Celebrations Catering of Hagerstown. Instead of a wedding cake, the couple had cupcakes that were provided by Keri’s Kakes of Hagerstown. Chocolate covered strawberries provided by Robert’s Confections of Cumberland also were served.

Bouquets and centerpieces were designed by Teresa Waugerman, friend of the bride’s family. Warmsprings Day Spa of Chambersburg, Pa provided hairstyling for the bridal party. Photography was provided by Sara’s Portraits of Hagerstown.

Reception music was provided by RS Entertainment of Greencastle, Pa. The bride and groom danced their first dance to “Unintended” by Muse. Kari danced with her father to “Butterfly Fly Away” by Miley Cyrus.

A rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom’s parents at Hempen Hill BBQ in Hagerstown. At the rehearsal dinner, the groom was presented a groom’s cake by his parents. The cake was decorated for his favorite hockey team, the Washington Capitals, and was baked by Lorenzo’s Bakery of Frostburg. A bridal shower was given in the bride’s honor at Puccini Restaurant, Cumberland, by her bridesmaids and mother.

The couple honeymooned for a week at The Hard Rock Hotel Resort in Orlando Fla., a wedding gift from the bride’s mother.

Brent and Kari would like to thank everyone who shared in the love and joy of their wedding day.
