Hampton, Moore wedding
FLINTSTONE — Rachel Brittani Jerricho Moore and John Richard Hampton were united in marriage on May 10, 2008, at the Rocky Gap Amphitheater, Flintstone. The ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Glenn Capacchione.
The bride is the daughter of Chuck and Karen Moore, Clearville, Pa. The groom is the son of Kevin and Linda Hampton, Oldtown.
Given in marriage by her father and mother, the bride wore an Alfred Angelo strapless white taffeta dress with a lace overlay with metallic accents, crystal beading and sequins. It laced up the back and had a chapel train. She had a matching white veil with crystal beading around the edges. The bride’s pearl and diamond necklace was a gift from the groom and her matching earrings were a gift from her parents. The bouquets and tin watering cans that lined the aisle were put together by Martin’s Floral. They were made up of all shades of purple wild flowers.
The bridesmaids wore clover and Victorian lilac satin dresses, also made by Alfred Angelo. Serving as maid of honor was Samantha Cappachione. Bridesmaids included Jessica Robinette and Kelly May. All are friends of the bride. There were two junior bridesmaids, Kylee and Kassidy Moore, both nieces of the bride. The flower girl was Alyssa Kifer, a friend of the bride and groom.
The groom and groomsmen wore tuxedoes from Burton’s. The groom had a white vest and white tie and the groomsmen matched the bridesmaids with clover and Victorian lilac. Serving as best man was Ed Hampton, brother of the groom. Groomsmen included Denny Largent, cousin of the groom, and Jason Moore, brother of the bride. Ring bearers included Aaron Crissey, nephew of the groom, and Jesse Moore, nephew of the bride.
Brian Robertson served as disc jockey for the wedding and reception. Andy Alt, friend of the bride and groom, sang “God Blessed the Broken Road” by Rascal Flatts during the ceremony. The wedding and reception photos were done by Hook Photography. Decorations for the amphitheater consisted of tulle and greenery that draped the pillars on the stage to accent the spring scenery. Also, as a back drop, were plant stands and potted arrangements put together by Denise Hanna, neighbor of the bride and groom.
A reception followed the ceremony at The Seven Dolars Church Hall in Beans Cove, Pa. Catering was done by Kline’s Restaurant. The wedding cake was a small three-tier white cake surrounded by chocolate cupcakes with green and purple icing. The cake topper was a willow tree statue. Centerpieces included mason jars with white candles and purple and green marbles inside. They had ribbons around the top and country berry rings surrounding the mason jar. Tables were sprinkled with wedding confetti. Balloons and personalized banners surrounded the reception hall. The favor was a seed packet with a thank you poem to all the guests made by the bride.
A rehearsal dinner was hosted by the bride and groom at Ponderosa, where they presented their wedding party with thank you gifts. Parents were given a beautiful book of wedding pictures afterwards.
