Wright, Miller wedding

CUMBERLAND — On October 18, 2008, Jamie Lynn Miller and Matthew Scott Wright were united in marriage. Pastor Harold McClay Jr. presided over a beautiful ceremony at the Christ United Methodist Church, Fourth and Race street. The reception was held at the Cumberland Country Club. The couple vacationed at a private resort on Sanibel Island off the coast of Florida for their honeymoon.

The bride was given away by her father. The bride wore an A-line ivory gown with champagne trim. The bride also wore a one-tier ivory and champagne trimmed veil. The bride’s jewelry consisted of a single strand pearl and diamond necklace, along with matching earrings, a wedding gift from the groom. The bride carried a bouquet of sunflowers, roses and other fall-colored flowers. Style in the City provided hair-styling for the bride and bridal party.

The groom wore a black button-down suit with an ivory vest and tie.

Serving as the best man and matron of honor were Jeff Hook and Laura Puffenbarger. The remaining bridal party consisted of groomsmen Jimmy Barrett, Mike Hurst and Tavin Osborne, all of whom wore black suits with burnt orange vests and ties. The matron of honor and bridesmaids, Jen Kleinheinz, Valerie Wright and Jamie Overbeck, wore simple V-neck tea-length truffle gowns.

Jamie is the daughter of John and Chris Miller of Northampton, Pa. She is currently employed at the Cumberland YMCA as the senior program director and head swim coach.

Matthew is the son of Eugene and Joretta Wright, of Cumberland. He is currently employed with Western Maryland House Systems as a physical therapist assistant.

The couple currently resides just outside of the city limits of Cumberland with their yellow lab, Parker. They would like to thank their parents, friends and family for making their day absolutely perfect and unforgettable.
