MIDLOTHIAN — Ms. Evie Nicole Morris and Mr. Chad Michael Paul were united in marriage on Saturday, Oct. 6, 2007, at 4 p.m. at Trinity Assembly of God, Midlothian. The double ring ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Jimmie Blair.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gary and Carolyn Morris, Frostburg. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gene and Amy Paul, Corriganville.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents and was escorted down the aisle by her father. Classical music selections were performed by Ms. Lya Stroupe and solos were performed by Mrs. Krista Culler and Mr. Kevin Smith.
A flower arrangement was displayed in memory of Earl and Joanne Green, maternal grandparents of the bride, Albert Morris, paternal grandfather of the bride, Francis and Christine (Judy) Deremer, maternal grandparents of the groom, and Elizabeth Paul, paternal grandmother of the groom.
The bride wore a white strapless, A-line gown by Mori Lee. The gown had a corset back with a beaded neckline, a shirred, draped, cross-band bodice with scattered clusters of beads throughout the skirt and chapel-length train.
Mrs. Christy Getz, friend of the bride, served as the matron of honor. Mrs. Katherine Green, Fairfax, Va. and Ms. Reasol Agustin, Tuba City, Ariz., served as the bridesmaids. Miss Quinn Vogtman, niece of the groom, served as the flower girl.
Mr. Gary Getz, friend of the groom, served as best man. Mr. Michael Getz, Ridgeley, W.Va., and Mr. Trey Countryman, Atlanta, Ga., served as the groomsmen. Mr. Troy Morris and Mr. Joseph Shaffer served as ushers. The ring bearer was Mr. Wesley Green, cousin of the bride.
The guest book was attended by Mrs. Stephanie Hay. The program and bubble attendants were Miss Tiffany Crosby and Miss Hope Barker. The sound engineer was Mr. Aaron Riddle. Mrs. Cathy Gilmore served as the wedding director.
Guests attended a dinner reception at the Holiday Inn Ballroom, Cumberland, following the ceremony. Photography was provided by Mr. Stan Eisel and videography by Mr. Jeff Hay. The four-tier wedding cake was designed by Mrs. Tammy Lorenzo of Lorenzo’s Bakery, Frostburg. Flowers were provided by Ms. Reba Kriglein of Victorian Creations, Ridgeley.
A rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom’s parents at the Oxford House, Cumberland.
The bride is a 1997 graduate of Westmar High School and a 2001 graduate of Frostburg State University. She is also a 2005 graduate of the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy. She is currently a pharmacist at CVS pharmacy in Culpeper, Va.
The groom is a 1993 graduate of Mount Savage High School and a 1998 graduate of Frostburg State University. He also completed graduate studies at West Virginia University. He is currently employed as a software developer at ArcBridge Consulting, Herndon, Va.
The couple honeymooned at the Caesar’s Pocono Resorts in Pennsylvania. They currently reside in Gordonsville, Va., with their new boxer puppy, Xero.
Chad and Evie would like to thank all of their friends and family who helped to celebrate their special day.
