Eacho, Clark wedding

LAVALE — One year ago, on Oct. 23, 2010, Brooke Ashley Clark and Stephen Jacob Eacho were united in marriage. The double ring ceremony took place at the LaVale United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Bernadette Ross officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Barry and Robin Clark of Barton. The groom is the son of Steve and Charlene Eacho of Hollywood.

Given in marriage by her parents and escorted to the altar by her father, the bride wore a gown designed with a sweetheart strapless bodice that had cascading embroidery and asymmetrical draping from the neckline and crossed over the waistline. The gown had embroidery that surrounded the soft, A-line skirt with the corset tieback that met the chapel-length train. The bride’s veil was outlined in pearls and was fingertip in length. The bride wore a necklace, bracelet and matching tiara, as well as a platinum five-diamond ring that belonged to the groom’s late grandmother, Ruth Gilmore. She carried a bouquet of red roses with baby’s breath hand-tied with white organza ribbon. In remembrance of the bride’s great-grandmother, Bertha Russell, a pearl and a lace hankerchief were both placed on the inside of the bride’s dress.

Bridget McGrath of Sykesville, friend of the bride, served as the maid of honor. The bridesmaids were Misty Clark, sister-in-law of the bride; Lauren Montgomery, sister of the groom; Cindy Green, cousin of the bride; Kimberly Haines and Lauren Wilson, both friends of the bride. The bridesmaids wore strapless, claret, floor-length gowns and carried bouquets of white roses. Serving as the flower girl, Hannah Sheely, niece of the groom, wore a white and claret floor-length gown and carried red and white rose petals.

CJ Knott of Leonardtown, friend of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Adam Clark, brother of the bride; Ryan Montgomery, brother-in-law of the groom; Brad Green, cousin of the bride; Travis Sparks, friend of the groom; and Jimmy Oliver, cousin of the groom. Serving as ring bearers were nephews of the bride and groom, Wyatt Clark and Ethan Montgomery, each of whom carried a white and claret pillow to the altar.

Special music for the ceremony was provided by organist Susie Young.

Distributing programs and bubbles were Marlee Shumate, cousin of the bride, and Samantha Ardnt, niece of the groom.

Photography for the ceremony and reception was provided by George Knotts of G&G Studio. Videography was provided by J.R. Murray Productions.

The reception immediately followed the ceremony at the Ali Ghan Shrine Club in Cumberland. The bridal party arrived there in a white Ford Excursion stretch limousine. The five-tier round wedding cake was yellow, chocolate, red velvet and strawberry with butter cream icing. It was prepared by Mary Fazenbaker. Sister of the groom, Tammy Birch Vincena, hand crafted edible red roses that cascaded down the cake. A monogram “E” topped the cake.

Stephen and Brooke enjoyed their first dance as husband and wife to “Then” by Brad Paisley. Brooke and her father danced to “I Loved Her First” by Heartland and Stephen and his mother danced to “20 Years Late” by Aaron Lines. The music was provided by disc jockey Dan Fisher.

A bridal shower hosted by the bride’s mother and maid of honor was held at the Barton Presbyterian Church.

A rehearsal dinner hosted by the groom’s parents was held at Puccini Restaurant for the bridal party, family and guests.

The bride is a 2004 graduate of Westmar High School and a 2008 graduate of Frostburg State University, where she received a bachelor’s degree in chemistry. She graduated from Allegany College of Maryland with a degree in medical laboratory technology in 2010. She is currently employed at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center as a medical laboratory technician.

The groom is a 2002 graduate of Leonardtown High School and a 2005 graduate of Allegany College of Maryland. He earned an associate degree in forestry. He is currently employed at CSX Transportation as a freight conductor.

The couple plan to celebrate their one-year anniversary in Atlantic City, N.J.

The couple would like to thank everyone who helped with their wedding. It was a dream come true.
