Georgia L. Russell [Cumberland]

CUMBERLAND — Georgia Lee Russell, 68, of Cumberland, has gone home to be with the Lord on Friday, Feb. 19, 2010, at Lions Manor Nursing Home.

Born March 7, 1941, in Mount Savage, she was the daughter of the late George W. and Mary Elizabeth (Ritchey) Smith.

Mrs. Russell was a homemaker. She was a member of the Soul’s Harbor Church.

She is survived by former husband, Ronald R. Russell Sr., Mount Savage; one daughter, Debra K. Arnold and fiancé Lawrence Ritchie, Oldtown; one son, Ronald Reed Russell Jr. and Brittany, both of Cumberland; three sisters, Ruth Kroll, Cresaptown, Norma Burkett and husband Bob, Hyndman, Pa., Laura Bowers and husband Wesley, Mount Savage; one brother, John B. Smith, Cumberland; two grandchildren, Dystany Arn-old and fiancé Joseph McCrobie and Drew Arnold, Cumberland; one great-granddaughter, Sienna McCrobie; several nieces and nephews; and a very good friend and companion, Ronald Thomas.

Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, (scarpellifuneralhomes.com) on Wednesday from noon to 2 p.m.

Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Wednesday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Betty Kennedy officiating.

Inurnment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens on Thursday at 10 a.m.

The family requests Georgia’s family and friends to refrain from sending flowers. Those desiring to honor Georgia’s memory may make contributions towards the funeral arrangements.
