ACCIDENT — Jordan Evans scored a season-high 22 points, Northern jumped on top of Hancock early and breezed past the Panthers 64-37 for its first win Wednesday evening.
Evans hit eight field goals and six of eight free throws to lead all scorers. Jonah Schneider added 10 points and Kollin Keister hit a pair of three-point goals and had eight points.
Northern (1-11) led 13-7 after the first quarter and 29-15 at halftime. The lead grew to 20, 42-22, after three periods.
Noah Teeter led Hancock (4-7) with nine points.
Northern also ran away with the jayvee game, 63-32. Zach Voelkel had 20 points and Chris Parandhomaia 12 for the Huskies.
Northern hosts Southern on Friday.

Turkeyfoot 46
CONFLUENCE, Pa. — Hope for Hyndman snapped a two game skid with a 30-point victory at Turkeyfoot Wednesday evening.
Coming off of consecutive losses, the Hornets bewildered Turkeyfoot on both ends of the floor in the first half. After a 26-9 first quarter, they stretched their lead to 40-14 at halftime.
Turkeyfoot won the second half 32-30 to make it a 30-point loss.
Brad Torbet scored 21 points while Tim Leydig put in 20 to lead the Hornets.
Hyndman (8-4) hosts Hancock Friday at 7:30 p.m.
