WESTERVILLE, Ohio — Thirteen players scored, with Teenie Lichtfuss getting a team-high 14 points, as Wisconsin-Eau Claire overpowered Frostburg State, 72-43, in the Smokey Ballenger Classic Saturday at Otterbein College.
Frostburg State (4-8) made just seven first-half field goals and trailed 42-21 at halftime.
Elaina Hummel led FSU with 14 points and four three-point goals.
It was the third straight win for Wisconsin Eau-Claire (7-5).
In Friday’s opening round game, four Otterbein scorers reached double figures in leading the Cardinals (8-3) to a convincing 80-56 win over the Bobcats.
Ronje James led Frostburg with 12 points and Steph Straka and Elaina Hummel had 11.
The Bobcats will host St. Mary’s in a Capital Athletic Conference game on Saturday at 1 p.m.
