Spare shooting is still the number one problem that keeps the averages from climbing. The ten Pin seems to get most of the blame. Bowlers need to LEARN how to throw a straight ball to consistently hit that pin. If you must throw your hooking strike ball, your aim should be in the area of five to ten feet from the pin deck in order to contact the dry area for the hook to be effective in straightening the path from it’s cross alley direction.

Good luck bowling and have fun striking out!
