HAGERSTOWN — Jasmine McRoy scored 21 points to lead Monroe (N.Y.) over Allegany College, 98-69 in the opening game of the Jim Brown Classic at Hagerstown Community College on Saturday.
The Trojans suffered through a poor shooting night, hitting 14 percent in the first half and 29 percent in the second.
Monroe led 37-25 at halftime and scored 61 second-half points.
Madi Nightengale led the Trojans with 19 points, three rebounds, two assists and a steal. Derica Sauder had 17 points.
Ly’Nasha Frazier scored 14 points for Monroe.
Allegany (0-7) plays Patrick Henry today at noon in Hagerstown.
