KEYSER, W.Va. — Laurel Podlesnik scored three goals to not only lead Potomac State to a 9-0 win over Lord Fairfax, but also became the Catamounts’ all-time leader in goals scored Sunday at Stayman Field.
Podlesnik scored the first goal in each half and notched her third goal less than a minute after her second to help Potomac State remain unbeaten at 8-0.
Kelsey Kimmell scored a goal in each half and added one assist, while Angel Dixon and Megan Tomkinson each had one goal and one assist.
Nikki Rowe and Comfort Agyei had one goal each, with Peyton Derryberry and Acasha Smith getting one assist.
Podlesnik entered with 18 goals and needed one to tie Abbie Altman and Mountain Ridge’s Danielle McGinnis for the school record. She broke the mark with a goal at 21:00 and added another goal at 66:57.
The Cats led 22-2 in shots taken and 15-2 in corner kicks.
Smith and Brittany Yates spilt time as PSC’s goalie with each making one save. Kayla Williams had 11 saves for the Cannons.
Potomac State hosts Westmoreland today at 4 p.m.
