Co-ed softball league meets Monday

CUMBERLAND — Cumberland Co-Ed Softball sign-ups will be held Monday, Feb 25, 6 p.m., at the South Cumberland Library. League officers will be elected.

Tri-Towns sign-ups Saturday, Tuesday

WESTERNPORT — The Tri-Towns Little League baseball sign-ups will be Saturday, Feb. 2, noon to 2 p.m., and Tuesday, Feb. 5, 6 to 8 p.m., at Moran’s Lounge in the Tri-Towns Plaza. For information, call Brandon Moran at 301-268-8579 or Eric Shingler at 301-876-8621.

Patient Bridgeport beats Frankfort, 9-6
It took two days, but Bridgeport returned to Frankfort and increased its two-run lead to three to defeat the Falcons, 9-6, and advance to the Class AA state tournament to be held next week in Charleston at Appalachian Power Park.
