CRESAPTOWN — Shalom shot 9-for-13 from the foul line during the fourth quarter to help break a tie and lead the Flames to a 47-38 win over Calvary Friday evening in Mason-Dixon Christian Conference action.
Tory Yoder scored 12 points as Shalom improved to 6-0 in the MDCC. Kara Lehman added 10 points while Brooke Koon added nine.
The Eagles were led by Savannah Reed’s 17 points. Karly Hipsley had a double-double by recording 14 rebounds and 13 points. Kerenne Shaffer had eight rebounds and five steals with three points, with Reed also getting six steals.
Each team took turns in the lead in the first half. Calvary led 11-8 after one quarter, but Shalom had taken a 23-20 lead at halftime. The score was tied at 32 at the beginning of the fourth.
Calvary (8-5, 4-3) plays Monday at Bishop Walsh.

SALISBURY, Pa. — Maddie Sprankle’s free throws in the final minute gave Johnstown Christian a win at Salisbury Friday.
The game went back-and-forth until Sprankle made two free throws with 29 seconds remaining to give the Blue Jays the edge.
Sprankle scored 15 of her 24 points in the fourth quarter. Sam Haynes added 10 for Johnstown Christian.
Kylee Short scored 21 to lead the Elks. Brynne Kemp pulled down 18 rebounds and Emily Lowery collected 12.
Salisbury (0-12) hosts Shade Wednesday at 6 p.m.
