DARLINGTON, S.C. — All 11 Spartans scored at least four points as Bishop Walsh concluded a dominating performance in the Trinity Tip-off Classic with an 83-22 win over Dillon Christian (S.C.) Saturday afternoon.
Liam Rhodes and Chris Scarlett both had 14 points, while Terrell McGraw and Quincy Redmon had eight point apiece. Redmon added eight assists, six rebounds and three steals, while Rhodes added five assists. Scarlett complemented his 14 points with four steals and four rebounds, with Hunter Morrale coming up with 13 point and four steals.
The Spartans built a 20-point lead during the first quarter, entering the second with a 26-6 edge. Bishop Walsh matched its output in the first period to enter halftime with a 52-11 lead. The score at the end of the third quarter was 65-18.
The 61-point win comes a day after the Spartans put an 81-33 beatdown on King’s Academy Friday evening. Bishop Walsh (4-0) outscored its opponents 164-55 over the two games of the classic.
No player on Dillon scored more than five points.
Bishop Walsh stays on the road, but comes much closer to home, when it plays at Berkeley Springs on Wednesday beginning at 7:30 p.m.
