KEYSER, W.Va. — Potomac State made a nice run in the second half to go ahead by 12 after CCAC-Allegheny had tied the score, and eventually held on to come away with a 62-56 victory Monday at at Dana Lough Gymnasium in junior college women’s basketball action.
Heather Lesniowski and Jenna McAtee both scored 14 points to lead the Catamounts, with McAtee hitting a pair of three-point goals. Morgan Wright scored 13 points and had 12 rebounds for Potomac State, while McAtee came up with seven steals.
Potomac State led most of the game, including 29-26 at the half, before Allegheny tied the score at 45. The Cats, however, then built a 12-point lead to create the needed cushion to go on to win the game.
Allegheny was led by Carissa Lee with 18 points, Arabia Brooks-Porter with 15 and Taylor Smith 14.
Potomac State (6-15) will host CCAC Boyce Wednesday at 5 p.m.

KEYSER, W.Va. — Potomac State got out of the blocks to a 10-1 start in bouncing back strong from its lopsided loss last Saturday to defeat CCAC-Allegheny Monday night, 81-73, at Lough Gymnasium.
The Catamounts (13-7), who hit 14 three-point goals, were led by Peyton Hartman, who scored 25 points, with seven of his eight field goals being three-pointers. Reggie Baker scored 16 points for the Cats, while George Chase scored 15 and Jaron Farrell 11.
Potomac State led at the half, 41-39.
CCAC-Allegheny was led by Smith with 34 points.
The teams will meet again Saturday, 2 p.m., in Pittsburgh.
