FROSTBURG — Bryce Nightengale poured in 26 points along with 12 rebounds to lead Allegany over Mountain Ridge 78-44 Friday night.
Mountain Ridge held a one-point lead after the first quarter.
The Campers overwhelmed them from that point, scoring 26 points in the second quarter to lead 36-26 at the break.
Allegany slowed down in the third, scoring 12 points, but still led by 12 going into the fourth.
It pulled away with a 28-6 fourth period.
Kevin Gamble scored 10 points for the Miners.
Hayden Bosley added 14 points and seven rebounds. Trenton Eirich had 12 points, eight rebounds and four assists. Calman McKenzie chipped in with 10 points for the Campers.
Mountain Ridge won 59-37 in the jayvee game. Dylan Shimko scored 16, Dylan Williams and Lucas Lowry each had 10. Hayden Lindsey added nine.
Dajuan Pendergass led Allegany with 16.
Allegany took the Freshmen match-up, 31-19, behind 10 from Bryson Sheppard and nine from Justin Halberry.
Mountain Ridge (3-5) hosts Smithsburg tonight at 7:30 p.m.
Allegany (5-3) hosts Southern tonight at 6 p.m.

Northern 24
OAKLAND — Southern held Northern to two points in the first quarter and got 13 points from Alex Fike during a runaway win over Northern Friday at Southern.
Fike finished as the leading scorer after making six field goals and one of his two foul shots. Landon Todd finished with eight points and Brian Wildman finished with seven.
The Rams scored 13 points in the opening quarter to lead by 11 and expanded that 15 points (24-9) by halftime. It grew to a 33-16 advantageafter three quarters.
For the Huskies (0-8, 0-5 AMAC), Jordan Evans and Tyler Yutzy each scored six.
Travis Newton scored 27 points during Southern’s 51-28 junior varsity win. Kyle Klotz led Northern with 12 points.
The Southern freshmen team beat Frankfort 46-36 on Will Fredlock’s double-double (15 points, 11 rebounds). Jake Young scored 10 points in the loss.
Southern (4-3, 3-2) plays at Allegany today at 6 p.m. Northern hosts Fort Hill on Monday.

NEW PARIS, Pa. — Hyndman avenged an earlier season loss to Chestnut Ridge with a win at Chestnut Ridge Friday.
Hyndman trailed 17-11 after one. They turned the momentum with a 14-8 second quarter to tie the game at halftime.
The Hornets entered the fourth with a one-point advantage and held on down the stretch for the win.
Adam Wiley led all scorers with 20 points for Chestnut Ridge.
Hyndman had just four players score with three of them in double digits. Tim Leydig led with 16, Brad Torbet scored 13 and Chad Deneen added 12.
Hyndman (5-2) hosts McConnellsburg Monday at 7:30 p.m.
