WEYERS CAVE, Va. — Trey Ogilvie scored two goals during a four-goal second half that carried Potomac State to its 14th win in 15 games, a 4-0 shutout of Blue Ridge Community College in men’s soccer Monday afternoon.
After a scoreless first half, Chris Ranker broke the ice with a goal on an assist from Nate Main at 50:46. Ogilvie’s first unassisted goal came just nine minutes later.
The Catamounts put the game away with two more goals in a span of just 2:17. Steve Holtschneider converted a penalty kick at 71:13 to make it 3-0, and Ogilvie tacked on the final goal, unassisted, at 73:30.
Potomac State led in shots, 17-2, and in corner kicks 15-0. Conor Fungaroli and Andrew Essig had one save apiece in goal for PSC. Joseph Glick had nine for Blue Ridge.
Coach Ray Kiddy’s Catamounts, 14-1 overall and 5-1 against Region XX teams, plays for the Region XX regular-season championship on Saturday, at 1 p.m., at Montgomery-Rockville.

Miners pad streak to 44
