Hollidaysburg defeats Fort Hill, 21-13

CUMBERLAND — Fort Hill’s junior varsity fell to Hollidaysburg, 21-13, Thursday at Greenway Avenue Stadium.

Luke Stegmaier scored both Fort Hill touchdowns on one-yard runs. Kasey Sullivan led Fort Hill in rushing with 80 yards on eight carries.

D.J. Powell, Sullivan and Brandon Harper played well on defense.

Fort Hill (1-5) will play Mountain Ridge Monday.

 

Keyser 26, Mtn. Ridge 6

FROSTBURG — Keyser forced two interceptions, two fumble recoveries and a blocked punt in the end zone in defeating Mountain Ridge on Monday.

Keyser took the first quarter lead on a 44-yard run by Timmy Biser. Beau Horner converted the extra point to make it 7-0.

Erik Willis blocked the punt and recovered in the end zone to make it 13-0. Hunter Kasmier ran in a four-yard touchdown run to give Keyser a 19-0 lead at the half.

Aaron Miller added a three-yard score in the third to make it 26-0.

Mountain Ridge’s lone score came on a nine-yard run by Austin Trenum.

Defensively for Keyser, Kasmier had an interception and fumble recovery. Jacob Shoemaker picked off a pass and Trystan Baker recovered a fumble and recorded a sack.

Mountain Ridge (1-5) plays at Fort Hill and Keyser (2-3) visits Northern on Monday, Both games start at 7 p.m.

    Evan Rodeheaver got the win, allowing three earned runs on seven hits in a complete game.
