Chessie 5
CUMBERLAND — Tristan Beyer singled home the go-ahead run in the bottom of the sixth inning to cap a late-game comeback that lifted second-seeded Times-News over third-seeded Chessie Credit Union in the opening game of their best-of-three series.
The Times-News trailed 5-1 through four innings, tied it with a four-run fifth, went ahead with a pair in the sixth, then got out of a seventh-inning jam to win it.
