SHORT GAP, W.Va. - Ridge Shuck and Matt Taylor combined on a two-hitter and Kody Boyer had a third of American Legion's hits in a 9-2 victory over KMK Insurance/Personal Best Thursday at Frankfort High School.
American Legion (14-3) had nine hits and broke open a 3-0 game with a sixth-run fifth inning that got started on Dylan Norris lead-off home run. It was his only hit but he finished with two RBIs. Boyer had two base hits and a triple and J.R. Shuck had two singles.
Chandler Tomlinson and Derek Barbe had KMK's two hits, both singles. Tomlinson had an RBI.
American Legion will close out its regular-season scheduled this evening at the Frostburg Armory against Chessie Federal Credit Union. KMK will play Hite Roofing tonight at LaVale Lions Field.
