National beats American in the Rec League All-Star Game, 17-5

SALISBURY, Pa. - Chandler Tomlinson belted a two-run home run and Kody Boyer, Bryan Carter and Brandon Fulk each scored three times as the National League defeated the American in the Rec League All-Star game held Sunday evening at Salisbury High School.

Tomlinson's homer came in the seventh inning. He also had a base hit.

The Nationals put the game out of reach with a seven-run ninth inning.

Other hitters for the Nationals were Justin Thomas with two singles, Ethan Landis doubled, Boyer had three hits, including two doubles, and Carter had two singles. Fulk had two doubles and also drove in three runs as well as scoring three times. Cory Weaver had two base hits.

Richard Vogt had two hits, including a double, and Ryan Sweitzer had a base hit and scored twice to lead the American League.

The two teams combined for 28 hits, with the Nationals holding the decided edge with 19.
