Blane Leasure had two two-run home runs as Chessie Federal Credit Union defeated KMK Insurance/Personal Best in five innings Friday evening at LaVale Lions Field.
Corey Greig and Ryan Delaney combined on a one-hitter. Greig had four strikeouts. Three of those came consecutively in the second inning after he had loaded the bases with two walks and an error.
Leasure’s first home run came in the second inning. His second was an inside-the-park homer during Chessie’s eight-run fourth inning.
Sean Nolan had two hits, scored three times and had an RBI. John Richards drove in four runs with a single and a triple. Josh Wimer tripled and had an RBI and Matt Farris doubled.
Chessie (15-1-1) plays American Legion Friday at the Frostburg Armory. KMK Insurance hosts Legion on Wednesday.
