Barrelville wins first

Personal Best’s late rally falls short in 7th


Personal Best/KMK Insurance almost spoiled Barrelville Outdoor Club’s first win of the season Thursday when it scored five times in he top of the seventh before being retired with the bases loaded and Barrelville ahead 7-6.

Chris Martin provided the bat and the arm for Barrelville by hitting a three-run home run in the third inning, and taking a one-hitter into the seventh. He finished with eight strikeouts.

Clifton Martin added a double and a single, and Derrick Sisk doubled home two runs in the victory.

Derek Barb tripled home two runs in the seventh for KMK.

After getting just one run and one hit through the first six innings, KMK got four hits and three errors in the seventh to make it close.

Barrelville (1-10-1) will play Hite Roofing tonight at Dickel Field. Personal best is scheduled to play American Legion on Wednesday at Lions Field.
