OAKLAND - Jamie Stowell had 10 strikeouts and had three hits to help WEPCO defeat Sweitzer, Simson and Associates 8-3 Wednesday evening at Southern High School in Rec League action.
WEPCO, which built an 8-0 lead before Sweitzer, Simson and Associates scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh, finished with 11 hits.
Stowell led with a double, two singles and two RBIs. Jamie Pollack had two hits and two RBIs, and Marcus McGinnis doubled and singled with an RBI. Daniel Warnick doubled to lead off the four-run fourth inning and Thomas Holtschneider had an RBI base hit in the inning.
Reese Duncan had two doubles to lead SS&A.; Nick Tressler, Seth Hinebaugh and Tommy Reams each had base hits. Spencer Barnard doubled.
Stowell went the distance for the win, giving up seven hits and four walks. SS&A; had the bases loaded when the third out was recorded.
WEPCO (14-1-1) plays Hite Roofing Monday in Westernport.
