CUMBERLAND - Dylan Norris put down a bunt single that scored Kody Boyer in the bottom of the seventh inning and lifted American Legion Post 13 to a come-from-behind 6-5 win over the Times-News Monday evening at Donahue Field.
Times-News (4 1/2 - 8 1/2) took a 5-4 lead when Forhest Crass scored on a passed ball in the top of the seventh.
Brian Carter got the Legion going with a double and eventually scored on a passed ball to knot it in the bottom of the inning. Boyer drew a walk and wound up on third after a passed ball and a stolen base before scoring on the bunt single by Norris.
Norris finished with two singles, J.R. Shuck hit a double, and Matt Taylor had a two-run single that tied the score 4-4 in the bottom of the sixth for the Legion.
Nick Corbet, Zach Ward and Crass all had two hits for the Times-News. Tristen Beyer doubled.
Norris, the winning pitcher, recorded eight strikeouts after relieving in the second inning.
Post 13 (10-3) will play Hite Roofing at Donahue on Thursday in a make-up game. The Times-News plays Hite Roofing at Bel Air Field on Wednesday.
