FROSTBURG - Josh Neilson ripped a triple and three singles and knocked in half of his team's 10 runs in Chessie's five-inning shutout of Hite Roofing at the Armory.
Sean Nolan added a double, single and two RBIs for Chessie (13-1-1), which had 12 hits. Logan Harden doubled and singled and John Richards had a single, two runs scored and two RBIs.
Corey Greig, who pitched the first four innings for the win, and Nolan teamed for a one-hitter with six strikeouts.
Roy Jefferies had Hite Roofing's only hit, a first-inning double.
Chessie plays Fort Ashby VFW at Frankfort on Wednesday. Hite Roofing plays Legion Post 13 on Thursday at Donahue Field.
All-Star game Sunday
The Rec League's annual All-Star Game will be played Sunday, starting at 7 p.m., at Salisbury (Pa.) High School.
The American League team will consist of all-stars from Chessie Credit Union, Sweitzer, Simson & Associates, Casselman Valley Lumber, Times-News, and Barrelville Outdoor Club.
The National League team will consist of all-stars from WEPCO Credit Union, Legion Post 13, Fort Ashby VFW, Hite Roofing and KMK/Personal Best.
