WESTERNPORT — WEPCO put up five-run innings in the third and the fifth, and Jeremy Shingler pitched a five-inning complete-game one-hitter in a 10-0 victory over Chessie Federal Credit Union Monday in Rec League baseball play at Westernport.
Marcus McGinnis singled three times for Wepco while Daniel Warnick had two singles and a run batted in. Bill Freeman hit a three-run double, Adam Stowell hit an RBI double and added a single, and Thomas Holtschneider singled twice and knocked in two runs. Ben Russell hit an RBI single, and Jordan Montgomery had an RBI double.
Shingler worked all five innings for WEPCO, allowing just one hit and striking out eight. The lone Chessie hit was by Josh Neilson, a single to lead off the game.
WEPCO (12-1) will play Sweitzer, Simson and Associates Wednesday at Southern. Chessie (7-6) plays Sweitzer, Simson and Associates Friday at Southern.

CUMBERLAND — Barrelville Outdoor Club rallied for two runs in the second inning and two more in the fifth after falling behind 2-0 in the first, and Garrett Dickel stood out at the plate and on the mound to key the victory over Personal Best/KMK Insurance Monday at Allegany High School.
For Barrelville Outdoor Club, Dickel doubled and singled, Shane Torbet had two singles, while Bobby Deneen tripled and Aaron Boyer singled and knocked in two runs.
Dickel went the distance for Barrelville, allowing just a Chris Stein single in the first inning. Dickel struck out 11 hitters on the day. For Dickel, it was his second win of the season, having garnered both wins this season for the Outdoor Club. Barrelville Outdoor Club (2-9) will play Hite Roofing Wednesday at Moss Cottage Field. Personal Best/KMK will play Casselman Valley Wednesday, 7 p.m., in Salisbury.

SHORT GAP, W.Va. — Colton Jones hit a three-run homer and a run-scoring single, leading the Fort Ashby VFW over Casselman Valley on Monday at Frankfort Field.
Brian Forester went the route for the win, allowing six hits and striking out eight.
Dalton Brown added a double and two singles to Fort Ashby’s nine-hit attack, while Cody Spotts had double, single and three runs scored.
Richard Vogt hit two singles, and Steven Stanley doubled for Casselman
Fort Ashby VFW beat the Barrelville ODC, 12-2, on Friday at Dickel Field.
Winning-pitcher Marcus Weaver and Forester, who came on in the sixth inning, combined on a four-hitter. Austin Cook cracked two doubles and a single to power the 17-hit attack and drove in three runs. Weaver and Cody Weese had three singles each.
Fort Ashby (5-8) will play the Times-News on Wednesday at Allegany College.
