Vials of controlled dangerous substances were taken when someone broke into the Garrett County Animal Shelter sometime during the night Tuesday or during the early morning hours Wednesday, police said.
Two nights later, the animal shelter was broken into again and someone attempted to steal the safe but was unsuccessful.
A third burglary occurred during the same time frame at the Countryside Animal Hospital off Weber Road, when numerous medications were stolen.
