KEYSER, W.Va. — A Keyser man was arrested Saturday after he allegedly assaulted a Mineral County sheriff’s deputy and then propelled himself head-first through a double-paned window at the Keyser Police station.
John Robert Gordon, 29, suffered lacerations to the head and was taken to Potomac Valley Hospital following the 1 a.m. complaint that originated in the 100 block of Market Alley off South Main Street.
Gordon was jailed at the Potomac Highlands Regional Jail in Augusta before posting $3,100 bond for his pretrial release.
Keyser Police said city and county police officers responded to the complaint and found two “subjects holding down a third man.”
Police said Gordon was disorderly before he charged and knocked a deputy to the ground as he was being taken into custody.
After being placed in an interview room at the police station, Gordon damaged a mirrored, double-paned window while the arresting officer was away from the locked office processing arrest paperwork, police said.
Damage to the police station was estimated at several hundred dollars, according to a Keyser Police official.
