BARTON — Two adults and five children were taken to the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center following a head-on collison Monday night on state Route 36 south of Legislative Road in Barton.
Maryland State Police said all the victims were treated for apparently non-life threatening injuries following the 8:23 p.m. crash.
A northbound vehicle being driven by Cailah Harris of Midlothian traveled across the center line where it struck a southbound vehicle being driven by Sally Muir of Barton.
Harris was issued a traffic citation for the accident.
Tri-Towns and Georges Creek ambulances transported the patients. Barton and Potomac volunteer fire units also responded upon alert by the Allegany County 911 center.
