FOUNTAIN, W.Va. — The Fountain Volunteer Fire Department and ambulance crew rushed to a residence on Knobley Road a quarter-mile north of state Route 46 Saturday after the Mineral County 911 center received a report of heavy smoke coming from a house there.
The home was not ablaze. Hot ashes outside the home caused the smoke. Units were alerted at 6:26 p.m. and left shortly after discovering the nature of the call.
