CUMBERLAND — Tires on approximately 30 vehicles on the West Side of the city were slashed late Wednesday or early Thursday, according to the Cumberland City Police Department.
Vehicles parked in the Greene, Washington and Fayette streets area were the targets in addition to two vehicles on Baltimore Street in the area of the Kensington Algonquin. Officers started receiving calls about the destruction at about 4 a.m.
The vandalism remain under investigation and includes review of numerous surveillance camera video recordings of the affected areas, police said.
Anyone with information about the damage to the vehicles or information of suspicious people observed in the area should contact city police at 301-777-1600 or Allegany & Mineral County Crime Solvers at 877-722-4307 or 301-722-4300.
A reward of up to $1,500 is offered by Crime Solvers for information leading to an arrest in the case. Callers may remain anonymous and do not have to appear in court.
