CUMBERLAND — A domestic complaint in the 100 block of Grand Avenue Thursday led to the arrest of a 26-year-old city man, according to the Cumberland Police Department.
William N. Cox was charged with second-degree assault, failure to obey a lawful order, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest after police investigated the incident.
Cox remained jailed Saturday on $3,000 bond, pending trial in district court.
Police said Cox was determined to match a suspect in the complaint. When stopped in the area of South Street a short time after the call, Cox allegedly ap-proached the officers in a threatening manner and then began to punch and kick at them.
No officers were injured when Cox was taken into custody.
