FRIENDSVILLE — An attempt to break into a residence in the 700 block of Bear Creek Road late Monday was foiled when a loud noise alerted the homeowner, Maryland State Police said.
A window was being pried open after two window screens were cut to access the window, police said.
A dog inside the residence began to bark and the suspect(s) apparently ran from the area following the 11:48 p.m. incident that occurred about a half-mile east of Friendsville.
Anyone with information about the incident or any suspicious activity is asked to contact state police at 301-387-1101 or 301-895-1101.
