Woman finds home intruder - 02/18

MEYERSDALE, Pa. — A woman on Lincoln Avenue in Meyersdale was attempting to let her dog out when she noticed a man inside her home wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and holding a flashlight according to the Pennsylvania State Police.

The woman fled the home and contacted authorities.

By tracing foot prints left in the snow, police were led to the home of Derrick Allen Schardt on Keystone Street where he was taken into custody.
