HYNDMAN, Pa. — A Somerset man was taken to the hospital for major injury after his motorcycle hit a deer Monday afternoon, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
Robert K. King, 53, was riding south on state Route 96 near Garden Drive at 3:05 p.m. when his 2004 Harley-Davidson Fat Boy struck a deer that ran onto the road. The motorcycle rolled onto its side and King was trapped underneath, police said.
King, who was wearing a helmet, was taken to the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center by Hyndman EMS.
