CUMBERLAND — Tracy C. Turner, 48, Maryland Avenue, was charged by city police with assault Friday afternoon after officers observed injuries to a female victim who had called for help.
The woman told police she had been assaulted on two occasions that day.
Turner was detained on a bond of $20,000.
Later that afternoon, officers took Matthew K. Kidwell, 26, North Mechanic Street, into custody on domestic assault charges and a violation of a protective order. Officers observed injuries to Kidwell’s female companion. He was also found to be in possession of marijuana, according to police.
Kidwell was detained on a bond of $50,000.
