CUMBERLAND — Alleged assault of his girlfriend led to the arrest of a Cumberland man Thursday.
Robert Charles Lippold II, 39, of Pear Street, was charged with second-degree assault and reckless endangerment following investigation of the 10:48 a.m. domestic disturbance complaint.
Following a bond hearing, Lippold was jailed in lieu of $35,000 bond at the Allegany County Detention Center.
Cumberland Police said the arrest was made after officers investigated the matter and observed the victim’s injuries. The victim apparently did not require medical attention.
The victim reportedly told officers she was shoved against a dresser and choked with a curtain tie after she and her boyfriend argued about cell phones.
