ROMNEY, W.Va. — A Winchester, Va., man who fell out of his tree stand Wednesday morning at Nathaniel Wild-life Management Area was flown to Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, according to the West Virginia Division of Natural Re-sources.
David Collie, 50, was bowhunting for deer when the accident occurred at about 8 a.m. Natural resource police officers who found him said Collie was complaining of back and stomach pain. Collie was listed in good condition Thursday, according to a hospital spokeswoman.
Officer Brett Simon is investigating.
Maryland State Police medevac helicopter re-sponded to the incident, according to emergency dispatches.
