PIEDMONT, W.Va. — Fire in an out building in the first block of Orchard Street brought numerous volunteer fire companies to the scene just before 3 a.m. Thursday, according to the Mineral County 911 center.
Piedmont, New Creek, Potomac, Bloomington, Barton and Frostburg volunteer fire companies responded along with Keyser EMS following alert at 2:50 a.m. Units remained there for 3 1/2 hours.
Unconfirmed reports indicated extensive damage resulted. There were no injuries.
The Mineral County Sheriff’s Department also responded.
